From my very first babies, I began the search for a down syndrome kit. I was so thrilled when Pebbles was introduced. Pebbles was sculpted by the extremely talented Lillianne Breedveld and painted by me. I love this beautiful little one. I smile every time I look at her. I hope she makes you smile too!

Last one today
This is another adopted baby, Liberty Sage. I adopted her the week of July 4th, hence the name Liberty. She arrived just in time for vacation. She was brought to life from the Elodie Wosnjuk kit by Deborah of Deborah's Darlings. I just love my little darling.
Gabriella
This is my latest adopted baby, Gabriella Lexi. She is from the Lexi sculpt by Sandra White. I got her in a trade. I changed her body out as I didn't like the full limbs. She just seemed awkard. I will likely do some touch ups like creases, blushing and eyebrows, but I won't add hair as I like her little bald head. She is a real sweetie!

Woohoo! I get a day all to myself. A rare occurance! The hubby and kids have gone to missions day. What shall I do?
I have two babies started and a Pixie kit I'm just itching to start painting. So I'm off to the doll room.

A busy life it is!
The dolly room has been a busy place. I finished Sweet Carolina-now Carolina Rose and my sweet little preemie. I've also just made my first baby gown (modeled by Carolina). So now I'm working on a mother's day swap baby. Looking forward to sharing her and the baby I receive in the swap.
Have a wonderful weekend.

A break at the lake
Despite the cold weather, we decided to go to the lake a few days. We just needed a break. It's nice and toasty inside with lots of windows with a view. I'm afraid I couldn't live at the lake. I would spend too much time staring out the windows. We played games (something we don't make time for often enough). We went out for a very short boat ride. I got a little crocheting done. It was a nice peaceful little trip. Packing and cleaning to head back home. Feeling rested

New Year!
Wow! I think about blogging often but life has been busy.
So here it is, the New Year. It's really kind of funny how we see each January as a new beginning. I guess it brings us hope if the past year was a tough one. It gives us a chance to change our "luck" maybe. And of course a time to reflect. Anyway, I'm ready for 2014. I recognize the many blessing of 2013, but I'm ready for a fresh start too. I don't usually do resolutions but I am working on some goals for the year. Maybe I'll share with you later.
Update in the dolly room: I survived the Christmas orders. I've gotten feedback from several about excited new reborn mommies. My MIL was very excited about her new baby. She took her on her after Christmas vacation (a cruise). Can't wait to hear how it went.
I'm working on my first air dry baby and am liking this new( to me) paint. Sweet Carolina is looking so... sweet. I'm also getting ready to start a preemie class. I'm very excited about that.
It's a rainy morning in Georgia and I'm enjoying the quiet while the kiddos sleep late. However I've gotta get moving. Wishing everyone a a wonderfully blessed day!
